Why StrangerCam exists
Some of the best conversations start with someone you did not plan to meet. Most apps are built around profiles, feeds and follower counts, which push that spontaneity out. We wanted a place where the first thing you do is talk.
So the product is deliberately small: start, match, talk, skip. It runs in a browser, so there is nothing to install. See how it works for the details.
What we promise, and what we do not
We promise a simple start, clear controls to skip, report and block, and plain wording about money: your first match and daily free matches cost nothing, and longer or premium sessions can use coins.
We do not promise that every chat will be great, that every stranger will be friendly, or that nothing can go wrong. Talking to people you do not know is unpredictable by nature, which is why we write safety tips instead of slogans.
How we think about safety
Safety is a feature, not a footer. The controls sit on the chat screen, the community guidelines are written in plain language, and reports are reviewed by the team.

Who StrangerCam is for
Adults who are curious about other people. That includes people who are shy and prefer a low-pressure start, people who live far from family and friends and want a voice from somewhere else, and people who simply like unplanned conversations. It is not for people who are looking to harass, solicit or scam, and the community guidelines say so plainly.
How we handle feedback
Most of what improves the product comes from messages that start with "this did not work for me". Write to us through the contact page with what you were trying to do and what happened, and we will read it. We cannot reply individually to every note, but we do read them.
